Hope flying free

Feared and fearsome, with talons to score and claw.

Not hooded by faith or tinted or tainted by love but keen eyed and crucial.

Relentlessly pecking at the carcass of despondency and in the gravel of inaction.

Hope is chased by children with no chance of a catch then sits being fed from the open palms and hearts of the grey haired women who dare to discuss events only these skittering children will live to see.

Hope struts militant, defiant, flying the colours of movements courageous in resolve and united in cause.

Hope soars.

Its wings span place and its songs call through time.

It swoops and settles, perching on a precipice.
